How we break through barriers
The collaboration traps we design against, and the solution to each.
We exist to drive public purpose innovation through cross-sector collaboration. Our alliance brings together diverse partners under a shared banner to create systemic change in how AI serves society.
We are governments, nonprofits, companies, universities, and individuals working together under an open Memorandum of Understanding.
A lightweight foundation stewards the charter and shared infrastructure, and a cross-sector steering committee guides the mission — but the alliance itself is simply its members, acting together.
For Good and For All
We envision a world where ethical technology realises its full potential to overcome disadvantage, empower communities, and improve lives. In this world, joint action across sectors and borders drives a virtuous cycle of inclusion, impact, and trust.
We advance both "Good with AI", harnessing technology to empower communities and enhance societal well being—and "Good within AI", ensuring the way we work with AI systems is ethical, fair, and inclusive.
Under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, every individual has the human right to benefit from technological progress.
These foundational values shape our culture, guide our decisions, and define how we work together.
Our commitment to meaningful community involvement is embedded in how we apply design thinking across all our work. We achieve this through:
Our governance model provides a balanced structure that enables effective cross-sector collaboration while maintaining autonomy and flexibility for all partners.
Provides strategic guidance and oversight to ensure the Alliance advances its mission effectively.
Facilitates coordination, communication and joint action across the Alliance network.
Founder and steward of the AI CoLab, attracts and marshals partners and supporters to align and support Alliance activities.
Our Steering Committee brings together leaders from different sectors who guide our strategic direction and ensure we stay true to our mission.
